The Architecture of Stains


Charles Anderson has spent over a decade photographing the stains on found mattresses. He has manipulated and transformed these images into three-dimensional forms that resemble complex aerial topographies on the gallery floor, and invites viewers to reassemble his ‘Architecture of Stains’ in any form they desire. A mammoth wall drawing of ‘stains’ that mimic the three-dimensional architectural forms on the floor completes the work.
